This year we are offering a course for Adults in June and one for Kids in August. The Adult course is 3 hours, with an hour break for lunch. Please register ahead of time. Box lunches are $10.00. There is a strict limit of 20 people. The cost for the course is $60.00, if you preregister and $80.00 if you walk in. You will learn the forward cast, roll cast, some entomology, fly selection, how to play and land a fish, and some suggestions on preparation if you choose to keep your catch. The date for the course is 11 June. All equipment is provided, however if you have your own equipment you are welcome to bring it. You are required to possess a state fishing license. The kids course is August 6th. The session is 2 hours. You learn what the bugs look like, what flies represent them, the fundamentals of casting your fly with patient State Certified instructors. This course is specifically designed for beginners. If you have never touched a rod (or even have dabbled a bit) and are between the ages of 9 and 15 then you are welcome to enroll in the Antietam Creek School of Fly Fishing.
The tuition for the school is 9-11 $30.00 and 12-15 $50.00 all equipment will be provided and no license is required. This is not a drop your child off and leave course. I require that the parent remain present, but, not involved.
